Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC)

As of 2011, the Government of Canada has made it manditory for all who operate powered boats and watercraft to possess a pleasure craft operator card. This includes sailboats fitted with an auxillary engine.

The card can be be obtained in different ways either by taking a course or challenging the exam. Courses are offered through your local Canadian Power and Sail Squadron  whose link can be found below. Another method is BOATsmart.com who allow you to follow an e-course and write the exam online. If you are going to be operating a powered watercraft get the card today!
